Robert Schon

Consultant

Robert joined Streathers as a Consultant in 2021, having previously run his own tax and estate planning practice in Dartmouth Park for 16 years. Prior to that, Robert was a corporate tax equity partner at Simmons & Simmons in London from 1990-2005.  Robert has an inherent understanding of what happens when tax and estate planning are looked at on a narrow basis without regard to the law that underpins what is seeking to be achieved and the wider relationship landscape.

Robert has extensive experience as a solicitor specialising in UK tax law. He is a specialist in helping clients on the UK tax aspects of international and domestic estate planning including lasting powers of attorney and on the tax issues that present when considering investing in or moving to the UK or investing outside the UK or emigrating from the UK.

Robert sits on the Law Society International Taxes sub-committee dealing with inward and outward investment into and from the UK and the Law Society Capital Taxes sub-committee dealing with inheritance and non-domicile issues.
