Jim Lankshear is a partner in the firm’s litigation department having qualified with the firm in 1993.
Clients include financial institutions who offer spread betting, CFDs, foreign exchange and other derivative products to members of the public and to corporations, and he has handled many cases for these institutions in the courts of England and Wales and abroad.
He is regularly consulted by financial institutions to provide non-contentious advice on Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulatory issues and terms of business.
Jim also acts for commercial entities and private individuals in high value disputes in the courts of England and Wales and abroad, and he has extensive experience of conducting cases in the High Court of Justice, London Court of International Arbitration, CEDR and before the Financial Services Authority ombudsman.
He has litigated cases in conjunction with local lawyers in the courts of Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Italy, Holland, Mauritius, Curacao, Hong Kong, BVI, France and Switzerland.
