Annmarie Jones
Annmarie joined Streathers’ Baker Street in 2022.
Annmarie studied a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Law in Ireland before pursuing her legal career in London.
In 2017, Annmarie became a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the global professional body for Trust and Estate professionals. Annmarie since enhanced her professional qualification by completing the STEP Advanced Certificates in UK Tax for International Clients, Cross Border Estates and Advising Vulnerable Clients. Annmarie recently achieved the STEP Gold Employer Partnership accreditation for the firm.
Annmarie advises UK based and international families on all aspects of UK tax, trust and succession law.
Annmarie specialises in the following areas:
- Probate: complex probate applications including admission of copy wills to proof, foreign domiciles, and intestacies.
- Estate administration: managing large taxable HNW estates comprising of share portfolios, trusts, and business assets.
- Independent Administration for difficult and fractious estates
- Cross border estates: working closely with international lawyers on succession and double taxation.
- Appropriations and variations to estates achieving significant tax savings.
- Domicile advice for inheritance tax and succession purposes and the implications of acquisition, structuring and ownership of UK assets to international clients.
- Residency: advising on acquiring and ceasing UK residence and structuring of assets
- Strategic wealth planning advice to clients, to include income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
- Wills: assisting domestic and international clients with their Wills incorporating asset protection trusts and vulnerable person trusts.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney: personal and business.
- Trusts: advising trustees of their duties, drafting trust deeds, and winding up of trusts.
Annmarie brings to Streathers a wealth of experience. Annmarie adopts a holistic approach when advising her clients and draws upon corporate specialists in the firm for their expertise in advising her business clients. Annmarie is extremely efficient and builds strong relationships with her clients.
