Milton Silverman
Milton Silverman has been a commercial litigation and dispute resolution partner at Streathers since 1984. He has been involved in substantial litigation over the years with some high profile cases including, commercial work in the Court of Appeal, specialist art trade disputes, leasehold enfranchisement and matrimonial finance in the High Court.
Milton was trained in mediation with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Group, and is a member of the London Dispute Resolution Service for whom he has carried out mediation work. He is also a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association. A particular area of expertise concerns the art world.
Over the past 20 years, he has had considerable involvement in the Art and Cultural Property sector, advising internationally on all aspects of the business, lecturing trade interests in the UK, including Sotheby’s Institute, and abroad. He is a member of the Institute of Art and Law and is a regular contributor to domestic and international publications, including the Antiques Trade Gazette for which he is legal correspondent.
