Michael Hepburn
Michael joined Streathers in 2021 and, on completion of his training contract, qualified as a Solicitor into the Private Client department in 2024. Michael is now an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). A keen linguist, Michael graduated with an LLB in Law and French.
Michael primarily works from the Hampstead office and specialises in the following areas:
- Wills – assisting clients in identifying suitable structures for their Wills, advising on key decisions and incorporating effective estate and inheritance tax planning throughout the process.
- Trusts – advising on the creation, management, and winding up of trusts.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney – helping clients select appropriate primary and replacement attorneys, advising on when their powers should take effect, and guiding decisions about who should be appointed to make end–of-life decisions.
- Estate planning – advising clients on lifetime gifting strategies and estate planning, including analysing inheritance tax mitigation techniques, and identifying potential pitfalls to ensure effective tax efficiency.
Michael combines a friendly and professional approach to build long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring they fully understand their options and feel confident in the decisions they make.
